FE Sports Privacy Policy

FE Sports Pty Ltd (“FE Sports”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).  This Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, online store, and related channels.

1.   What we collect

We collect personal information necessary for our business functions, including:

• your name, address, phone number, and email;
• payment, billing, and delivery details;
• information relating to your purchases, preferences, and account history; and
• device or usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited (via cookies and analytics).

Where relevant, we may also collect credit references or company details for account customers.

2.   How we collect it

Our website uses cookies and other analytics tools to improve site performance and personalise your experience.  Cookies do not personally identify you.  You can disable them in your browser settings, but some site functions may be affected.

4.  Analytics Disclosure

5.  Why we use your information

We use personal information to:

• process orders and deliver products;

Some service providers may be located overseas (for example, in the United States).  Where this occurs, FE Sports takes reasonable steps to ensure compliance with APP 8 – Cross-Border Disclosure.

7.  Cross-Border Disclosure of Personal Information

FE Sports may disclose limited personal information (such as your name, delivery address, phone number and order details) to overseas service providers where required to fulfil your purchase, process payments, or arrange delivery. These disclosures are made only to the extent necessary to provide you with the goods and services you have requested.

We currently ship to, or work with logistics partners in, the following countries and regions:

New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the European Union (including France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic), Canada, Japan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Viet Nam, United States, Qatar, Tonga, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and South Africa.

Where we disclose your information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure that those recipients handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. In many of the countries listed above, privacy laws comparable to those in Australia are already in place. In other locations where equivalent legal protections may not exist, we use contractual safeguards and confidentiality obligations to help protect your information.

By placing an international order or requesting delivery outside Australia, you consent to the disclosure of your personal information to our overseas delivery and logistics partners for the purposes described above. Once disclosed, your information may be subject to the laws of the country in which it is held.

8.  Direct marketing and electronic messages

FE Sports complies with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and ACMA requirements.  We only send commercial electronic messages where consent has been provided (either expressly or inferred through an existing relationship).  Every marketing message includes our contact details and a simple unsubscribe option.

9.  Data storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.  This includes the use of secure servers, encryption, and restricted staff access.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will act in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) Scheme, promptly assessing and notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

10.  Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time.  We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. 

If we cannot provide access, we will explain why and outline how you can lodge a complaint.
