Stages Cycling Training Ecosystem goes Live with Stages Dash and Stages Link
Stages® DASH, a performance GPS head unit and Stages LINK, a cloud-based training service, promise to guide athletes to their best performance through easy analytics, education and customised coaching
Boulder, CO 7 June 2017— Stages® Cycling is proud to announce Stages Dash and Stages Link, to complement the Stages Power meter and complete their training ecosystem. Stages Dash is a power-training-optimised GPS head unit that seamlessly integrates with Stages Link, a new cloud-based training and analytic system that includes custom-tailored coaching and education for cyclists of any ability.
Stages Dash is now available for pre-order from authorised Stages retailers with an RRP of AU$589 and Stages Link for AU$29 per month or AU$290 annual subscription.
“With Dash and Link, we’ve developed a complete experience that will personally guide a rider through the process of living with and meeting their performance goals with power,” said Pat Warner, SVP of Stages Cycling. “The Stages ecosystem is an easy and fast way for a rider to achieve their best performance.”
Stages DASH
The Stages Dash performance training GPS head unit is specifically designed to coach a rider to his or her best performance. Unique features include unrivalled customisation of data fields, the ability to offer guided workout coaching, and specific provisions to manage critical training metrics across all devices. Stages Dash also delivers robust Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity to Stages Power and 3rd party devices, plus GPS capabilities.
Stages LINK
Stages Link is a hub of cloud-based coaching, education, training analysis and equipment management tools, which were developed collaboratively with the analytics experts at Today’s Plan. The system can hold up to use by elite professionals, but also adapts to work within the limited training time and packed schedules of everyday riders. Stages Link custom tailors training plans and daily workouts to benefit rider performance and enable performance goals, whether the goal is to simply improve fitness or target specific races over multiple seasons. Stages Link will also help riders quickly set up their Stages Dash and keep tabs on Stages Power meters, all while being open and compatible with 3rd party devices, and easy to use for coaches with multiple athletes to manage their varied training calendars. Riders who purchase Stages Power or Stages Dash will receive complementary access to Stages Link for two months.
LINK App
The Stages Link App is an evolution of the Stages Power App. The app will provide a wireless connection between a rider’s Dash head unit and the cloud-based Link training and analytic services. The Link App allows a rider’s training plan and workouts to automatically flow from the cloud to Dash; likewise ride data will automatically upload when the App is used. The Stages Link App will also broker data to third party analysis sites and provide basic information about workouts, rides, the rider’s activity profiles, and a conduit for firmware updates to both Dash and Stages Power.
“After years providing power meters to the world’s top professionals like Tour de France-winning Team Sky, enduro MTB champion Richie Rude and XTERRA Champion Flora Duffy we’ve realised that all cyclists from professional to recreational have similar needs when on the path toward their cycling goals,” said Warner. “Dash is born from an unmet need in the training tool space for real-time guidance that’s paired with the immediate feedback of a power meter. Our new Stages ecosystem provides a simple and intuitive interface that enables all riders to maximise their performance and meet their goals.“
Stages Cycling LLC, with offices in Portland, OR and Boulder CO, launched the Stages Power meter in 2012, immediately making waves in the power measurement category. Stages has expanded into the commercial and home fitness category with the SC3 commercial indoor cycling bike, with groundbreaking features designed to improve rider experience and increase durability. In 2016, Stages completed the power training ecosystem with Stages Dash, a performance GPS head unit, and Stages Link, a cloud-based training service, guiding athletes to their best performances on the road and indoors through easy analytics, education, and custom coaching.
