Refuel - After endurance workouts, the most
important priority in the recovery process is to refuel by
consuming ample calories immediately after exercise. This maximizes
the replenishment of glycogen - sugar, stored in the liver and in
muscle that is depleted during prolonged exercise.
- the next priority is to re-hydrate, replacing both the water
and salt lost during exercise.
- finally, consuming some protein and fat provides important
macro-nutrients that are critical to rebuild muscle tissue and
cells either damaged by exercise or consumed as fuel.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE -
immediately after working out - add one serving (2 scoops) to
enough water to make 350ml and shake (don't stir). Ensure
resealable bag is kept in a cool, dry place.
